About the Organization
Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP), founded as the National Association of Hotel Accountants in 1952, is an International Association dedicated to enhance the practice of professional hospitality accounting, financial management, technology management, and hospitality information processing. HFTP provides continuing education and networking opportunities to more than 4,300 members from around the world. HFTP also administers the examination and awards the certification for the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) and the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designations.
The San Diego Chapter, a non-profit organization, currently has a membership of almost 100 hospitality professionals. The Chapter publishes a newsletter once a month to keep members informed of Chapter events, share member news, and pass along valuable information and articles.
The chapter holds meetings once a month, generally on the evening of the third Wednesday of the month. Our meetings are held at various hotels, clubs, and entertainment venues throughout the San Diego area. They begin with a reception time for attendees to network and share industry news and ideas, followed by our speaker and a three-course meal. Most meetings have an education or enrichment focus. We also host two socials per year, our Day at the Races at Del Mar in July and our annual Holiday Social in December. |
